That this House congratulates North East Fife's St Andrews Brewing Company on its continued success as a champion of high quality Scottish brewing; notes the St Andrews-based local brewery and bar operator's Brewpub on South Street, St Andrews claimed Beer Bar of the Year in September 2017 at the second annual Scottish Beer Awards which takes place each year to celebrate achievements in Scottish brewing; further notes the award was given in recognition of both its overall outstanding quality and service, as well as the bar's dedication to showcasing the best beers from the emerging Scottish craft drinks industry; further congratulates the firm on winning a medal for its popular Oatmeal Stout beer following 2016's competition in which it won another medal for its locally named Crail Ale; recalls with fondness the firm's Harvest Beer, the first in the world to be made wholly with Scottish ingredients, which premiered in Parliament in 2017 during St Andrew's Day celebrations; commends the team at St Andrews Brewing Company for all its hard work in creating a local brewery and bar held in such high distinction by its industry peers; encourages locals and visitors of the ancient town of St Andrews to support this local success story; and wishes St Andrews Brewing Company well for 2018's competition and its continued success.
