That this House seriously questions recent judgements and decisions made by The Scottish Football Association and is concerned at the level of competence being shown by the administrators of Scotland's national game; in particular condemns the swingeing fine of ú5,000 imposed on Graeme Souness for appearing in the players' tunnel to shout instructions during a game, thus technically infringing his touchline ban; and believes not only that the fine was grossly excessive but that the inclusion of previously excluded televisual evidence to convict Souness was sleakit to say the least; furthermore condemns the farcical lottery to which Scotland's national trophy, the Scottish Cup, was reduced on Saturday 12th May, with multiple sudden death penalty kicks settling a game which should have been replayed, which farce resulted in Celtic fans being left bitter, Aberdeen fans, to their credit, being embarrassed and neutrals wondering if it is not time the people had a say in the Scottish Football Association.
