Pay Increases

That this House, in noting that Post Office counter workers have been limited to a 6.8 per cent. pay increase against an operative retail price index level for March of 8.2 per cent., condemns the double standards of the Prime Minister's calls for pay restraint when the Governor of the Bank of England has just received a 17 per cent. increase and senior company executives have had their remuneration increased by 22.7 per cent.
This motion has been signed by a total of 80 MPs.
