Maidstone Health Care Priority Trust And Alien Organisations
David Hinchliffe
1991-07-16
That this House records its concern at the references in the Maidstone Priority Care Trust opt out application to alien organisations; notes that at a recent meeting convened by Maidstone Community Health Council the proposed trust's project manager, Mr John Wilkes, stated that this phrase referred to national trade unions; regards this comment as an insult to the many dedicated National Health Service staff who are active members of trade unions; calls upon Mr Wilkes to withdraw this derogatory remark; and urges the Secretary of State for Health to clarify, as a matter of urgency, whether Mr Wilkes' remarks reflect his Department's policy towards National Health Service trade unions.
