EDM1626 - Price Of Hansard
Proposed by Terence Higgins on 20/10/1994.
That this House congratulates the Hansard Society for Parliamentary Government on its first King-Hall Paper 'What Price Hansard'; notes with concern the escalation in the daily price of the Official Report from 45 pence in 1979 to ú7.50 now and the corresponding dramatic fall in sales; and urges the Leader of the House and the Administration Committee to give urgent attention to the report's recommendations and the better provision of parliamentary papers generally.
