1994-11-23
That this House calls on Her Majesty's Government to urge the United Kingdom's partners in the European Union to support the case of non-governmental organisations, such as Greenpeace and the RSPCA, in having observer status on the Committee on Trade and Environment of GATT/World Trade Organisation to help ensure that the protection of the environment is a priority under the new trading arrangements heralded by the signing of the GATT agreement in Marrakesh last April.
