SNP AND WOMEN'S REPRESENTATION
Anne Begg
1998-06-08
That this House notes the failure of the Scottish National Party to take any steps to ensure more women stand for the Scottish Parliament; regards this as symptomatic of a party more interested in striking a posture than in delivering for the people of Scotland; and contrasts the SNP's attitude with that of the Scottish Labour Party, which has taken steps to ensure equal representation of men and women in the new Scottish Parliament.
