Attack On Brian Cass, Managing Director Of Huntingdon Life Sciences

EDM number 374 in 2000-01, proposed by Colin Pickthall on 27/02/2001.

That this House deplores the gratuitous and brutal attack by persons in balaclavas and wielding baseball bats on Brian Cass, Managing Director of Huntingdon Life Sciences; further deplores the spokesman for the Animal Liberation Front who refused to condemn the perpetrators of this attack when given the opportunity to do so on the Today programme; and calls upon the Government to introduce legislation to safeguard individuals targeted in this way.

This motion has been signed by a total of 55 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
