End-Of-life Decision-Making;amdt. Line 1:
Brian Iddon
2003-09-18
Line 1, leave out from 'House' to end and add 'notes the plethora of opinion polls, research and reports emanating from the Voluntary Euthanasia Society in recent years on end of life decision making; trusts that the raw data from which such opinion polls, research and reports have been compiled will be placed in the public domain; welcomes rigorous and independent research into end of life decision making whilst recognising that our priority should be the allocation od resources to support the dignity and independence of the seriously ill and severely disabled; and calls upon the Government to work closely with disability rights groups and the palliative care sector in order to safeguard the welfare of vunerable individuals at the end of their lives.'
