<text>That this House congratulates the staff at the Environment Agency, Severn Trent, Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council, the emergency services, flood wardens, volunteers and all the other agencies and contractors whose skill, expertise and hard work in constructing permanent and temporary flood defences around Shrewsbury protected for the first time ever scores of properties in the recent floods on the River Severn; praises Bauer Inner City Limited for the manufacture and design of their innovative, demountable barriers; and urges the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to complete the flood protection of the town by funding flood defences for the remaining unprotected areas at risk including Underdale Road, Abbey Foregate and Longden Coleham, Coton Manor, Smithfield Road, Coton Hill and the left bank of English Bridge.</text>
