National Federation Of Subpostmasters Lobby Of Parliament

That this House notes the National Federation of Subpostmasters lobby of Parliament on 18th October; recognises the essential role played by the 14,500 subpostmasters in the UK with post offices offering a range of 170 different services and products attracting 28 million customers every week; expresses concern over the future of the Post Office network; and supports the National Federation of Subpostmasters in their lobby of Parliament in order to persuade the Government to offer a suite of post office-based banking products, carry out a thorough assessment of the social and economic role played by post offices in local communities, outline the future size, shape and purpose of a sustainable Post Office network and a clear compensation framework for subpostmasters in post offices forced to close.
