<title>Legia Warsaw Football Club</title>
<proposer id="11093">John Mann</proposer>
<date>2011-10-27</date>
<text>That this House notes the unfurling of a 90 metre long banner by Legia Warsaw football fans in a match against Israeli team Hapoel Tel Aviv last month emblazoned with the words Jihad Legia; further notes this was not the first time the banner had been used; condemns the fans who brought the banner into the stadium; further notes the unsatisfactory findings of Polish prosecutors that the case was offensive but not criminal; believes the act was distasteful and offensive and requires further action; calls on UEFA to punish Legia Warsaw when it addresses the matter on 17 November 2011; and further calls on the Football Association to raise the matter with UEFA at the earliest opportunity in relation to planning for the Euro 2012 football tournament.</text>
