<title>Bank Of Credit And Commerce International - Role Of Secretary Of State For Business, Innovation And Skills</title>
<proposer id="10614">Keith Vaz</proposer>
<date>2012-04-24</date>
<text>That this House congratulates the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, the right hon. Member for Twickenham, on the way that he has responded to the concerns raised by the depositors and creditors of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International over the liquidation of the former bank; is pleased that he will be known as the Secretary of State under whose stewardship the liquidation finally ended; and hopes that he will ensure in the future that lessons will be learnt from the way in which major insolvencies are conducted, so that never again creditors will have to wait a generation for the return of their own money.</text>
