That this House notes that the National Media Museum in Bradford celebrates its 30th birthday this month; further notes that the Museum will be celebrating its birthday with a wealth of new activities on the weekend of 15 and 16 June 2013, including a special showing of the first IMAX film ever seen in Britain which was shown on the day the Museum, then known as the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, first opened; believes that the closure of the Museum would be a disaster for Bradford and for Britain; welcomes the enormous support being shown for the Museum across the country and beyond, amongst those involved in the media including a number of stars; and calls on the Government to abandon any plans to cut funding in any way that will jeopardise the future of the National Media Museum.
