Workers And Management Cooperation

EDM number 1040 in 1989-90, proposed by Jimmy Wray on 22/05/1990.

That this House warmly congratulates 'Keiper Recaro', British Branch, and GMB union for their agreement to incorporate many aspects of the Social Charter into their employment contract; sees workers' participation and open management as the best guarantee for a successful economy and for the fair redistribution of wealth in a prosperous and socially peaceful Britain; finds that, yet again, the retrograde and ignorant views of this Government are put to shame; and longs for the day when a new Government allows the forces of progress to put Britain on the same path of real, not mythical, economic success as our major competitors which already have most of the Social Charter implemented and also have, not surprisingly, that economic success we so desperately need.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
