Inspection Of Food Premises By Canterbury City Council;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 1051A1 in 1989-90, proposed by Roger Gale on 11/06/1990.

Leave out from 'House' to end and add 'notes that the standard of food hygiene generally found throughout Canterbury City Council's area, in food premises, is far higher than the minimum required by the regulations, largely because of the education, training and enforcement role carried out by the Council; notes that Canterbury is recognised by its neighbouring authorities as the centre of excellence for training for food hygiene matters and most staff and food handlers from other districts attend food courses in Canterbury, and further notes that the Council took the step almost a year ago of making budget provision for an additional environmental health team to further implement the requirements of the new Food Bill for this year.'

This is a ammendment to 1051.
