That this House recalls with pride that it was from London that General de Gaulle made his historic broadcast on 18th June 50 years ago, summoning the people of France to reject defeat and to continue the fight against tyranny; salutes the restoration of France's pride and prosperity in the intervening years; and affirms the contribution which close partnership between Britain and France has to make to the security and wellbeing of the peoples of Europe.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
