Air Pollution In London

EDM number 115 in 1989-90, proposed by Joan Ruddock on 29/11/1989.

That this House notes the dangerous levels of air pollution, arising primarily from road traffic, recorded in London in the past 24 hours; and calls on all relevant Government departments to ensure that corrective measures are introduced immediately to comply with World Health Organisation safety standards to protect the health of the fifth of the population known to be at risk from such noxious atmospheric pollution.
