Speech Of The Chancellor Of The Exchequer

That this House congratulates Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Government on his constructive speech at the German Industry Forum on 20th June in support of a Europe open to trade and investment and open to new members in Eastern and Western Europe, in support of convergence and co-operation in economic performance, low inflation and stable exchange rates and in support of the Ecu as an optional common currency alongside existing currencies.
