King's Cross Development;Amdt. line 2:

EDM number 118A1 in 1989-90, proposed by Chris Smith on 01/12/1989.

Leave out from 'Tunnel' to end and add 'but regrets that British Rail and others have given the impression that this can only be achieved by locating the second international passenger terminal at King's Cross; believes that this is in fact not the case, but that King's Cross would simply act as a magnet for passenger traffic, leaving the North unserved and the King's Cross area of London grossly overcrowded and congested; and calls on British Rail and the Secretary of State for Transport to look urgently at other options such as Stratford, including ways to link these alternative locations directly through to the North, North-West, Scotland and Wales.'.

This is a ammendment to 118.

This motion has been signed by a total of 6 MPs.
