English Football In Europe
EDM number 1264 in 1989-90, proposed by John Carlisle on 10/07/1990.
That this House welcomes the decision by UEFA to re-admit English clubs to European competition; congratulates Her Majesty's Government and the Minister of Sport for creating conditions at home and abroad that enabled trouble to be kept to a minimum; and wishes Manchester United and Aston Villa the best of fortune in what hopefully will be a peaceful and skillful contest.
