International Donkey Protection Trust
EDM number 1459 in 1989-90, proposed by Alan Meale on 25/10/1990.
That this House congratulates the International Donkey Protection Trust on their work of highlighting the cruelty inflicted upon donkeys in Mexico by individuals who do not have any regard for animal welfare, merely money, and who by their actions put thousands of these harmless creatures to death in the most horrifically painful ways; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to make representations to the Mexican Government to act immediately to make unlawful these barbaric acts of deliberate and inhumane cruelty.
