Rehabilitation Engineering For The Severely Physically Handicapped In Wales

EDM number 1477 in 1989-90, proposed by Rhodri Morgan on 30/10/1990.

That this House calls on the Secretary of State for Wales to take immediate action to increase funding and staffing resources at the rehabilitation engineering centres at Rookwood Hospital, Cardiff, Morriston Hospital, Swansea, and Bryn y Newadd Hospital, Llanfairfechan, Gwynedd; notes with concern his delay in responding to the March 1990 report sent to him by the Director of Rehabilitation Engineering at Rookwood; and presses the Secretary of State to ensure that the maximum waiting time for severely handicapped children requiring special rehabilitation seating is reduced to less than one year with the appropriate urgency.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
