Grampian Health Board And Photocopier Payments

EDM number 1482 in 1989-90, proposed by Alex Salmond on 31/10/1990.

That this House notes with concern the revelation that Grampian Health Board, in common with many other organisations and companies, has been exploited by the scandalous photocopying contracts of Purdie and Kirkpatrick and that overall in the National Health Service alone a figure of some ú3 million is tied up in such contracts; and believes that there should be a criminal investigation into the selling methods of this company and that, if necessary, there should be legislative changes to ensure that Purdie and Kirkpatrick or any other company is not allowed to generate excess profits at the expense of National Health Service patients or now extort millions of pounds from the Health Service and other organisations.

This motion has been ammended, see 600A1.

This motion has been signed by a total of 5 MPs.
