Longford Hall (No.3)

EDM number 168 in 1989-90, proposed by Tony Lloyd on 06/12/1989.

That this House draws attention to the recommendation of the Association of Municipal Authorities that local authorities adopt a new standing order relating to councillors' non-pecuniary interests; is aware that the Chief Executive and Town Clerk of Trafford Borough Council prepared a report in June 1988 recommending the adoption of such a standing order which was considered by the Policy Committee but deferred until its next meeting, never to reappear; and recognises that such a standing order may have made a difference in respect of those entitled to vote on the future of Longford Hall.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
