Drink Driving Warning

EDM number 202 in 1989-90, proposed by Roland Boyes on 13/12/1989.

That this House, aware of the danger of drinking and driving, both for the driver and passengers in a car and the pedestrian, and aware that far too many people are killed or injured annually, welcomes the decision of some companies to provide low alcohol wines and beers or simply soft drinks at lunches and dinners; notes that the Federation of the Retail Licensed Trade Northern Ireland at its first banquet and ball included low alcohol wine among its drinks; particularly welcomes the warning, in its menu, 'Your Hosts this evening remind all guests not to drink and drive'; and hopes all companies and others will follow suit.

This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
