Nuclear Bunker Construction

EDM number 263 in 1989-90, proposed by Dafydd Wigley on 09/01/1990.

That this House welcomes the improved climate of relations between East and West, the associated lessening of tensions, and significant reduction in the likelihood of nuclear war; and, in the light of these changes, calls for a reappraisal by both central and local government of the programme for providing nuclear bunkers, with the view of securing an immediate end to further expenditure on such superfluous schemes, and for the money earmarked for this purpose to be redistributed towards improved health, social services, and education provision.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
