That this House is concerned at the massive deception presented by the World in Action programme "Return of the Rebel" and, in particular, at the failure to confirm that Mr Peter Hain was convicted of conspiracy following a private prosecution brought and paid for by members of the public; at the failure to disclose that Mr Hain travelled to South Africa under the assumed name of Western-Hain, thus deceiving the British authorities at the point of departure and at the many distortions of fact presented by the programme concerning the funding and organisation of non-racial sport; and calls upon Granada Television to give equal time to a programme presenting the true facts of South African life.
