United Nations Policy On Cyprus

EDM number 41 in 1989-90, proposed by Tom Cox on 22/11/1989.

That this House views with deep concern the continuing occupation by Turkish troops (35,000) of the northern areas of Cyprus, totally ignoring the United Nations' resolutions which demand that Turkey should end its illegal occupation of Cyprus, thereby making it possible for the representatives of the United Nations and both sides to conclude an agreement based on mutual trust and guaranteed equal rights for all Cypriot people.

This motion has been signed by a total of 28 MPs.
