Strengthening Of The European Commission

That this House notes that the East European socialist bloc is breaking down in disarray as a result of the failure of centralised government to fulfil the aspirations of its people; is therefore alarmed at the latest proposals of M.Delors, the President of the European Commission, calling for a strengthening of the Brussels empire in which the European Commission would form a prototype West European Government; and urges Her Majesty's Government to resist this step backward into the past.
