Gerardo Cruz

That this House notes the death of Gerardo Cruz, an Executive Member of the Salvadorean Teachers Union, following his arrest and torture by the Treasury Police in El Salvador; condemns the Government of El Salvador for its failure to ensure that the people responsible for this murder and other atrocities committed against the opposition in El Salvador are brought to justice; and calls on the United States of America to stop their military aid to the Government of El Salvador, in view of the human rights abuses in that country.
