Flood Barriers On The River Tay

EDM number 746 in 1989-90, proposed by Bill Walker on 15/03/1990.

That this House believes the Tay River Purification Board should be given powers to inspect and to order the erection of adequate flood barriers along the banks of the River Tay; and further believes the Board should also be the official body to deal with flood emergencies and flood warnings on the non-tidal length of the river and all of its contributaries.
