Need For Gun Control

EDM number 771 in 1989-90, proposed by Jim Hood on 20/03/1990.

That this House is deeply concerned at the recent death and wounding in Glasgow; calls upon the Secretary of State for Scotland to institute an early debate on the lack of control on firearms; and further agrees with the Strathclyde police that guns should not be available unless there is a strong reason for their ownership and their use.
