Liberal Democrats, The Sdp And The Poll Tax

EDM number 930 in 1989-90, proposed by Terry Davis on 01/05/1990.

That this House notes that the Liberal candidate in Birmingham, Hodge Hill at the last General Election is standing as a Conservative candidate in Hodge Hill in the local elections; also notes that the SDP candidate in these elections has described the poll tax as 'innocuous'; and is not surprised that the people of Hodge Hill like the rest of Birmingham are increasingly coming to the conclusion that Labour candidates are the only people to be trusted to oppose both the poll tax and the Conservative Party.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
