Hearing Examination Delays

EDM number 944 in 1989-90, proposed by Ieuan Wyn Jones on 03/05/1990.

That this House notes the requirement for coalminers to take a hearing examination before being granted compensation for work-related damage to hearing; further notes that there is often a delay of up to a year in coalminers getting the outcome of such hearing tests; and believes that such a delay is totally unacceptable and disregards employees who have served the industry so well.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
