Conservative Victory In Ealing;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 948A2 in 1989-90, proposed by Tom Cox on 14/05/1990.

Leave out from 'Ealing' to end and add, 'notes the high Labour vote achieved throughout the Borough and warns the Tory controlled Authority that severe cost-cutting leading to reductions in services and loss of jobs, will result in united resistance by employees and unions, evidenced by a wave of fear showing after the election result; congratulates the previous Labour controlled Authority for many progressive acts carried out by them; and is of the opinion that any level of poll tax set by the new administration will not make it popular with most of the people of Ealing.

This is a ammendment to 948.
