That this House notes with regret that the Director General of OFTEL, in his statement of 10th May on telephone One to One premium services has, once again, bowed to pressure from the corruptive elements who profit from these sordid services, has, by his unwillingness to act effectively to regulate these, condemned many more women and young people to vile abuse and corruption, and has demonstrated conclusively that the interests of the public are always subjugated to those of British Telecom, and their dubious business partners, the system providers.
