Brawdy Pembrokeshire Radar Installation;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 992A2 in 1989-90, proposed by David Shaw on 16/05/1990.

Leave out from 'House' to end and add 'thanks the Minister of State for Defence Procurement for visiting the city of St David's on 10th May, touring the site of the proposed installation and then addressing a meeting, arranged by the Pembrokeshire Conservative Association, attended by more than 700 people where he listened with care to the genuine concerns of local residents about the proposed Over the Horizon Radar installation on the site of the former wartime airfield at St David's; welcomes his assurances both at the meeting and in replies to parliamentary questions by the local member, the honourable Member for Pembroke, that a full, independent environmental impact assessment study will be undertaken as part of the planning application process and that the Ministry of Defence will not claim Crown immunity in the event of a decision by the planning authorities to refuse permission; and believes that this procedure will enable the proposal to be considered in a rational and democratic manner with proper account of the views of the people of Pembrokeshire.'.

This is a ammendment to 992.
