Restrictions On Religious Freedom In Vietnam

EDM number 1045 in 1990-91, proposed by William Cash on 27/06/1991.

That this House expresses concern at the new regulations restricting religious freedom which have been introduced in Vietnam; and notes that the new regulations require government approval for all regional and national meetings by religious bodies, the opening of all religious schools and seminaries, the appointment of all religious officials, and government approval for all visits by foreign clergy to Vietnam and Vietnamese clergy abroad.
