North Dulwich Hospital

EDM number 1161 in 1990-91, proposed by Harriet Harman on 18/07/1991.

That this House notes the proposed transfer of psychiatric beds from North Dulwich Hospital Bethlem Royal Hospital; is concerned about the impact of this on the social work service, especially to clients detained under the Mental Health Act; and calls on the Government to arrange a meeting of the London boroughs and the Social Services Inspectorate to discuss the future of the hospital social work service in the light of these and other London-wide National Health Services changes.
