Leaking Of Confidential Draft Reports

EDM number 1192 in 1990-91, proposed by Alice Mahon on 24/07/1991.

That this House notes that the confidential draft report of the Health Committee on Public Expenditure on Health and Personal Social Services appears to have been leaked to the Department of Health; further notes that an honourable Member from the Conservative benches put down a number of amendments bearing the unmistakable stamp of the Department of Health; and condemns any such action as a serious attempt to undermine the objectivity of the Health Committee and its parliamentary duty of holding the Department of Health to account.
