Stonehouse A71 Bypass
EDM number 1199 in 1990-91, proposed by Jim Hood on 24/07/1991.
That this House records its full support for the immediate commencement of the Stonehouse A71 bypass; notes that the proposed threat to the commencement of work as scheduled for September 1991 is caused by Government cuts in funding to Strathclyde Regional Council; and calls on the Council to keep faith with the people of Stonehouse and not redirect capital away from rural communities to Glasgow because of Government cuts.
This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
