CHINA'S OCCUPATION OF TIBET

EDM number 1266 in 1990-91, proposed by Thomas Graham on 16/10/1991.

That this House demands that the People's Republic of China stops its continued occupation of Tibet; expresses its disgust and horror at the stabbing and brutal murder of a Tibetan monk by Chinese forces during a peaceful demonstration; and calls upon the United Nations to impose sanctions on China until they withdraw from Tibet and restore to the people of Tibet their democratic independence.
