Submarines In Fishing Grounds

EDM number 192 in 1990-91, proposed by Margaret Ewing on 07/12/1990.

That this House congratulates the Clyde fishermen on their notable achievement in forcing the Ministry of Defence to make available all information relating to the movement of submarines in the Firth of Clyde; regrets that it has taken the sinking of the `Antares' fishing vessel and the tragic loss of its crew to bring about this concession; further regrets that the Ministry of Defence have said the agreement will be limited to the Clyde area; and calls on the Ministry of Defence to extend this concession to include all fishing grounds throughout all of the waters of the British Isles.

This motion has been signed by a total of 7 MPs.
