Leicestershire Police Funding

That this House condemns the Government's disgraceful failure to provide adequate resources for Leicestershire Police Force, which has led to a predicted shortfall of ú1.25 million, severe cutbacks in manpower, staffing and training and so to less protection for the citizens of the county; and notes that all this is happening when the county's crime rate has soared since the Government took office, by 35 per cent. overall in the last 12 months.
