New Virgin Atlantic Routes To Tokyo

EDM number 300 in 1990-91, proposed by David Evennett on 16/01/1991.

That this House congratulates the CAA on their decision to allocate extra flights to Virgin Atlantic Airways to Tokyo; notes that this will help to establish Virgin Atlantic as an effective long-term competitor to British Airways on more equal terms than hitherto; and firmly believes that the existence of a number of efficient and profitable United Kingdom airlines on domestic, international and intercontinental routes is in the best interests of the British consumer.
