Extradition Arrangements With The Republic Of Ireland
EDM number 381 in 1990-91, proposed by John D Taylor on 30/01/1991.
That this House notes with concern the decision by the High Court in the Republic of Ireland to refuse an application for extradition of Michael McKee, a person found in possession of an automatic weapon with intent to endanger life, on the grounds that it was a political offence; deplores the fact that there are still ineffective extradition arrangements between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland five years after the Anglo-Irish Agreement was signed; and requests the Government to address this problem as a matter of urgency.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
