Hill Farming

EDM number 406 in 1990-91, proposed by Geraint Howells on 05/02/1991.

That this House urges the Government to make an immediate interim payment of 60 per cent. of hill livestock compensatory allowances based on last year's allowance to hill farmers in view of the gravity of the agricultural recession in the hill farming areas of Britain, the final payment to be made when the rates and conditions of the scheme have been finalised.
