Commonwealth Day On Monday 11th March 1991

That this House joins with all other parliaments throughout the Commonwealth in the observance of Commonwealth Day on Monday 11th March and in recognising that the Commonwealth plays an important role in promoting international co-operation and stability in the world; welcomes Members of the Namibian Parliament, which was accepted into the CPA at the recent Commonwealth Conference in Harare; and notes that the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, with 110 active branches in 41 countries, continues to serve the interests of Members by spreading knowledge and understanding of parliamentary democracy throughout the Commonwealth.
