Ribble Valley And Poll Tax Benefit

EDM number 629 in 1990-91, proposed by Michael Carr on 20/03/1991.

That this House congratulates the voters of Ribble Valley and Eastbourne for their achievement in making inevitable the end of the poll tax; believes that the new cuts in the poll tax announced by Her Majesty's Government will be known as the Ribble Valley Benefit; notes that the poll tax was killed off as it should have been by democratic action through the ballot box; and suggests that the benefits of voting Liberal Democrat are triumphantly self-evident.

This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
